the best present ever is a life policy through state farm insurance.. not term but whole life.. it builds up money over the years and come time for him to enroll in college, he could take a loan on his life policy and pay for school.. financially it would run you roughly 5 to 10 dollars a month considering his current age.. it will only get more expensive the older they get..

The best present for a baby is something without anything the baby can get at or eat. Nothing that will harm the baby. so that narrows it down A LOT! if it is a boy....they usually like elmo dolls or stuffend animals with sewn on eyes and noses. or anything that they can look at. Colorful things are great.. such blocks with numbers and letters but make sure the blocks are big so they can not fit all the way in his mouth causing choking. You would not be happy if your present took him to the e.r. (haha.) Stores such as toys r us are always perfect.

Your four month old baby doesn't care about gifts. Seriously start a college fund. Edward Jones has programs for young kids. It is perfect. It grows and you and his grandparents can add to it. You can put in as little or as much as you want. My daughter put in $3500 four years ago and she now has $4100.00. Didn't add a thing, it is just interest, etc.
These days kids get too much stuff - give less stuff and invest in his future. You'll be so proud of yourself when he's grown up and has a nice nest egg to start his life. Just make sure that if he knows about it he doesn't pressure you into buying him a car with it or something - that would be a waste.

A 4 month old has no concept of how many presents he/she receives or what you spend on them. You doing this to impress someone other than yourself? The BEST present you can EVER give any child is to have BOTH parents available always. SPEND TIME with your kids. They want this more than material things anyway. Create an open relationship with your children. make them feel as if they can come to you with ANYTHING. You will be greatly rewarded. I am. Best of Luck to you.

i wouldn't buy too much.
here's the thing....he is too young to understand christmas and will need toys and clothes continually throughout the year, so just get him a new outfit or two and maybe a toy or two.
our baby is 3 months and i bought him 2 toys. i know we are getting all kinds of presents from family, so i'm kind of taking this christmas off. i know we're gonna get hit with all the "i wants..." in a year or 2 anyway!!
take care and happy holidays!

Just get him a few toy,s as he is not old enough to know about Christmas,You could start savings account for him that would be better than buying him a lot of toys that he will grow out of very fast

He's 4 months old, he's not going to understand it. Get him some educational / developmental toys. If you're going to make a huge deal out of getting him the biggest and best at 4 months out, you're going to be screwed when he's a teen.

Start a college fund or trust fund for the future and until that time, give your baby unconditional love for the rest of his life, and never give up on him and let him know that all throughout his life. He did not choose to be here and it is your duty to ensure his health, safety, and life and over all well being.

Hug him more, Baby in 4 months don't know much about present. they are expecting their needs.. milk, food, comfort behind and love.
The clothes you get for him actually is for you to show. Many parents thought it is getting for the babies. As a matter of fact, babies don't care as long as they are comfortable!

Get him a well rested mommy. Have someone watch him and play with him for a couple hours so you can sleep, or take a hot bath or do something for you!
This would be the best for little baby...
