How can a company take taxes out of your paycheck if they didn't have you fill out any tax forms??

They just enter you as single and zero. Don't worry, you'll get it back at the end of the year. They can do it because they are required by law.

Really they are not supposed to without your signature however they are well within there rights to withhold some of your earnings it is a federal law and not paying may subject you and the company to imprisonment. If you debate with your company any further about not deducting taxes from you they may terminate your employment. Not paying taxes is a felony.

By default, if no W-4 is completed, the Company must begin withholding all taxes: Income, FICA, and State/City as required, at the default withholding rates (for income -- others are %).

They have to take out taxes its the law. They can get in trouble if they dont'

better yet start your own business so you can stop complaining about your boss... LOL

no seriously... if they didnt take taxes you'd end up owing a huge amount all at once, they did you a favor.

They can't. But, then again, unless you are contract labor, they won't pay you unless you have the forms completed.

they can't....your forms are what gives them the deduction information....single?married? number of dependents?excempt?
