Can anyone tell me where is the best place to get your taxes done (i.e- H& R Block, Jackson Hewwitt, etc.) or how you can do them yourself (online, manually, etc.)? Thank you for your answers in advance.

I personally prefer doing them myself at home with Taxcut software. This can be purchased at Wal Mart. It is the software that H&R Block used in their offices. It's around $25.00 to buy it and they stand behind you if you get audited. You can e-file using this software also.

Also you might check out www.irs.gov they have a program where you can file for free if you qualify. I dont know that much about it, but you can find out more on their website.

Good Luck.

Since you have internet access, I would go to irs.gov and go to their "free efile" link. This will link you to a page with a whole bunch of free efile services, and you can pick which one to use. I have used this before and it's not super convenient because you have to create an account and remember a password. And then if you want to print out yr forms to have a copy of yr own, you have to pay a fee. The best thing to do, if you don't mind figuring out your taxes yourself, is just to download or print out the forms from the IRS website. The instructions for the forms are available too.
Tax software is great too, but you have to buy it and learn to use the program, though it's probably not too hard.
Don't go to a tax preparation service unless you are totally confused trying to do it yourself. Fees are high, and unless your return is really complex, it's just not worth it.
