Usually just pelvic rest (no sex basically), no heavy lifting and lots of rest...sometimes bedrest depending on the person.

Lots of bed rest, limit sex or don't have any (better), I know a girl that continued on her regular stuff with it and her baby didn't make it. So if you have a low lying placenta be very cautious. Then on top of those restrictions follow all the regular restrictions not horse back riding, no running, wear no slip shoes. And make sure you go to all your appointments.(very important). My doctor didn't put me on any, but if it had been covering the cervix (placenta previa) no sex, little to noactivity, complete bed rest if bleeding should occcur.
