I feel really stupid even asking this 'cos I'm sure the answer is obvious but my son is more than halfway through playing The Sims on my laptop. He's getting his own PC for Christmas, and obviously it would be better for him to continue playing it on there.

Is that possible? Do you just save it onto one of those memory sticks and download it like anything else?

Sorry for such a lame question, but it's not something I've ever attempted before.

yes it is... just go to the program directory in your C drive and look for the game's folder... it's either going to be listed under Sims or EA ... but either way, within the folder you should find a save file.. probably a .sav file but it can be different... copy the save file (if ur not sure just transfer the whole Sims folder) to ur pendrive or cd or dvd... and copy the save file/folder over to the new comp after you 've installed the Sims in the new comp... hope that helps

"I have closed my e-mail facility because I am heartily sick of having an inbox full of abuse. I am a pretty nice person generally, so if I've left you a sarcastic message it's probably because you asked a stupid question. "
There are no such things as stupid questions. Only stupid people. Don't apologize for asking something...if people didn't ask they wouldn't learn.
If you had an inbox full of abuse it's because of the hatred you were trying to spread against Americans and the sick comments you were making like the one about "beastiality". So don't sit there and act like the innocent victim.
God Bless the USA!

If you take the saved file and move it on to a memory stick, or flash drive (memory stick recommended) it will work by saving the file on to the stick and putting the stick into the other CPU.

do a search in explorer for the games save file, then save it to a cd. Then when you get the new pc re-install the game then access the cd and drag and drop or copy and paste the save file into the games files.
