I personally think that it's the smart factor. Since the beginning of time the male gender has always wanted to control the females. This means that the women is suppose to be totally dependent on the man. A man doesn't like to be trumphed and if a female is wearing glasses chances are they probably have some sort of intellegence which usually goes hand-in-hand with independence and that scares a man. They like to feel needed that is their control over you and independent women are not needy by far.

Thats not always true. I wear glasses and my boyfriend actually prefers it when I wear my glasses :) I think it depends on the male actually. Some men might be nervous around a woman with glasses because she may appear to be smart and intellectual, which most males are not hehe, just playing!

dudes, what is your problem? first of all, just the fact that someone is wearing glasses does not necessarily mean that they are more intelligent but that they have some illness. and besides i don't think that a guy won't make a pass at some girl just 'cuz she's wearing glasses maybe they got some other reason dunno

i've never 'made a pass' at a girl wearing glasses but i've spoken to a few with the intention of bedding them at some point in the future

While this is not a gay question, I find it interesting. Most men who must make a "pass," meaning use cheesy pickup lines, are just trying to find sex. A woman with glasses is intimidating to these type of men because they want someone stupid enough to sleep with them.
