Which laptop (UK) has the best battery life? I won't be playing games or multimedia just Office apps and DTP and the usual internet stuff.

look for any system with the Core 2 Duo processor (vs the regular Core Duo). These systems have the best battery life due to the dynamic power management found in the core 2 processor line.

I guess you can get a quicker and much accurate answer if you ask someone who sells laptops. As long as its processor is Centrino, the battery life is the best. More important is the upkeep of the battery itself. Do not attach the battery when you using direct power or else it's life deteriorates to about 1/3 of its original life.

That's a little bit difficult to define, try reading some reviews. Depends on the machine, how it's used - lots of things. A couple of hours is a pretty fair figure.

Tip - if and when you do get one, from time to time run it on battery alone and let it shut itself off when it's run down. That helps condition the battery to take a full charge. Hope that bit helps, anyway.
