Prior to the introduction to slavery in the Colonial period, many people were upset. There were those who supported slavery and those who opposed slavery. Ben Franklin is an example of a person who opposed slavery and fought to keep it out of our Constitution. He won and was able to keep the right to own slaves out of the Constitution. Regardless, our courts allowed slavery to occur. This lead to a civil war in which many people died. By arguing against slavery Franklin was arguing for the rights of all people. He was quite upset about slavery and won the battle only to see zealots overcome him through political will. The zealots caused a civil war and the death of millions of people and caused the enslavement of a race of people.
These religious zealots also founded their beliefs in a false reading of the Bible (as the current pro life movement does).
Today the pro life movement has been halted much as the pro slavery movement was halted. I am fighting to stop the pro life movement in an attempt to stop another civil war. It is foolish for one group to want to take away the rights of another group when the first groups position is based solely on a false reading of the Bible.
No where in the Bible is there any support for the pro life movement, yet they have brainwashed many people into believing that abortion is evil. And these people will lead us into another period of loss of rights for an entire group of people. When this happens it cannot stand. If my daughter is raped, a neighbor is gang raped, a child is a victim of incest or a woman is forced to die to give birth, then it is wrong to reward the rapist or evil father with a child.
This site is replete with appoligist for rapist. This site contains scores of those whose opinion is that no abortion is right. And these pro life apologist, like the their mirror group in the slavery clan will always find others to follow them.
That is why I am forceful in my beliefs. In slavery a man controls the life of another man through forced removal of the slaves free will. There is no difference in the pro life movement from the pro slavery movement. Slavery took away the right of a race, pro life takes away the rights of a sex. Some blacks supported slavery, some women support pro life. Both slavery and pro life are evil and must be stopped to avoid civil war and the loss of rights.

thats funny...call pro-choicers sensitive. What about people that are pro-life? Some are standing outside of buildings where young women go to make a very hard decision for themselves and cause turmoil. Others blow up abortion clinics. Seems to me that I would rather be on the peaceful side, and be considered sensitive and upset!!!
If you take away someones rights to choice, you will open up a bigger can of worms later. Give the government the ability to chose what we do, and you will give them the ability to dictate more then that.

I'm not sensitive. It's not also pro-choicers who sometime get upset it is also pro-lifers. When a pro-choicer asks a question, they get upset and start insulting instead of giving a reasonable answer. Everybody gets upset or sensitive when you question their stand on any position. It is human nature.

I am pro-choice. I am not an "abortion supporter". I just believe that reproductive rights should not be tampered with. If men could get pregnant, it wouldn't be a question. It would be America's Best Contacts, Eyeglasses, and Abortion Services.

For the exact same reason anti-abortion supporters get so upset (ie. throwing acid on women and murdering doctors in parking lots). They firmly wish people to see things their way.

It's not just abortion issues either, it's every issue people feel strongly about. Welcome to human nature!

If anti-abortion people feel that their belief is so right, why do they get upset?

I am pro-choice and the fact that the anti-abortion people are so pushy with their beliefs, I feel I should comment on mine also.

Because....no matter how loudly they pound the table and insist that a fetus is just a clump of cells, no different from a cancer tumor...way down deep (where you can't lie to yourself, no matter how much you try)...they know that abortion is the taking of an innocent's life.

Evil is as evil does. They're not supposed to be nice. Maybe the truth hurts. If you don't want kids, close your legs or get fixed. LOL.
