I call her on her cell phone and say "Hey whats going on?" casually. She replies, " Geez, I'm at my mothers, can't I visit my mother?"
She made it sound like I asked her where she is at and what she was doing like I was riding her butt wanting to know where she is all the time in front of her mother. That's not right is it?

far from slander. Slander is somebody attacking your character through the use of words. ( libel is with the written word)

Sounds like she was just being a jerk, although frustrating, and infuriating,...not a crime. Sounds as if she was playing to the folks listening in. It gives her a way to look like the "injured party" in their eyes. I am sure after she hung up she went into great detail about all the wrongs you have committed upon her.( does not have to be true, we all know folks like to talk when upset)

Let it go man,....it hurts I know, but you got to let this one go. Give it time,...who knows what will happen if you just let it sit and not give anyone a reason to stir the pot. Words at this point will do more damage than healing.

Best of luck to you.

It is not slander...The definition is 1 : the utterance of false charges or misrepresentations which defame and damage another's reputation
2 : a false and defamatory oral statement about a person -- compare LIBEL
