i have had almost every cell phone service! i also live in the back of the woods and NOTHING reaches my town except in certain areas!! Not only that but most of them have really bad customer service!

-Sprint is the worst when it came to customer service! it also has a poor range and drops calls.

-Nextel has the worst phone connection! the only perk is the walkie talkie but not alot of people have that.

-att/cingular/virgin gets an okay range of service connection but it drops alot still.

-cricket... dont get me started!

-verizon has had the best service and customer service that i have found. its rare that i have a problem and its even more rare if they cant help me. i have had them 1 1/2 years now and i still love them plus it reaches my house. where the other guys didnt. i have tried many more services but verizon is by far my favorite!

This is a hard question.... if you're in a city and do not plan on using the phone outside of that area, then go with pocket

if you plan on needed nationwide coverage then you have to decide do you want incoming calls free then go with sprint

if you want your minutes to be saved and used later go with cingular

if you want computer based phones for business go with verizon

if you want to go international go with t-mobile

if you're mainly in the east coast go with Alltel

All of the companies have issues. You have to decide what service means the most to you and then decide which one to go with. All companies have decent cells for internet, messaging, sms/texting, email, and calling others on the same network for free. So base it on your use.

That depends on where you live ............ find out your options and ask around which provides the best deal......... cheap monthly costs doesn't mean the best......... AT& T has been by far the best for me........ always got service and I have never lost a call. I got reception where others couldn't.

Cingular and Verzion are great.

Stay far far away from Nextel/Sprint.
