SAN ANTONIO -- A San Antonio-area state lawmaker is proposing that even blind Texans should be able to hunt game.Rep. Edmund Kuempel filed a bill to allow the blind to hunt any game in season and with the same weapons used by other hunters.The Seguin Republican said he thinks hunting is a pleasure that shouldn't be denied the blind.The legislation would require the blind hunters to be accompanied by guides with good eyesight -- and to use laser sights, which are legally denied hunters who can see.The laser sights would allow the guides to coach the hunter's sighting
OK, I'm all for the blind being able to hunt... But I will stay out of the woods if I know they will be there... LOL

So are they lobbying to get lasers put on cars so they can go joy-riding, too? I mean, only as long as they have a guide with good eyesight with them, that is!

I just don't see how a blind person could really get the pleasure. However to each their own. I'm guessing as well that they are shooting more still type targets rather then birds. Interesting though, and I say more power to them if they want to hunt.

Write to that dumbass lawmaker and suggest that the blind also be given drivers licences. Hell, pilots licences too. Then blind him and give him a parachuting licence.

i think its a great opportunity for the blind...i think it'll be fine because they are gonna be accompanied by guides with GOOD eyesite....
i just hope they dont get into a rage and start shooting everyone.

Does it matter? They let Cheney hunt and he can see(even if it is only what he wants to see).
