you could try emailing the person and saying you changed your mind or made a mistake, or just not pay and take the negative feedback, but it would be better to email the person

You cannot retract your bid, but if you contact the seller and ask nicely, they can. They will probably give you bad feedback since they will still have to pay all the eBay fees (probably about $8-10 on an item worth $60), but they may be willing to let you off the hook anyway.

Not if you want to continue to bid for items on ebay. Don't worry too much about it. I did the same thing on Friday and I just paid and then stayed pissed at myself for the rest of the day.

No not once you have won it. You can not pay and then you'll get an unpaid item strike against you. Not to mention the person who sold you it will give you bad feedback. If you are that worried about it just resell it again or find out if the seller has a refund policy.

I sell things on eBay - if somebody wrote to me and explained they no longer wanted the item - and was willing to pay for all the fees that eBay charge me for the sale - it would be okay.
But, if somebody just doesn't want to pay - I leave very negative feedback - which means many dealers will no longer accept their bids on items.
You're better off treating the person the way YOU would want to be treated.

nope when you bid thats a contract that you will purchase the item. You might try talking with the person that was selling the item and they might let you just get away with paying for the fees they spend listing it and the new fees to relist..or just buy it and sell it again on ebay yourself.

You can contact the seller and tell them that you no longer want the item, but you will recieve a negative feedback. Other sellers may refuse to except your bids.

no longer something pisses ebay sellers off extra beneficial than people who bid, and don't pay. in case you do no longer plan on dealing with with fee do no longer bid. it is not significant in case you win or no longer. It wastes their time. I sell lots of issues on ebay, and tend to dam people who win an merchandise, and don't pay. particularly around Christmas time. in case you study ebay's regulations and regulations it is likewise lined in there to no longer try this. you're able to get fortunate, and the broking won't care, yet he can rfile you to ebay for no longer following the regulations.

You will have to take that up with the seller. You can ignore it, but you will likely get bad ratings/penalties from eBay. Try explaining the situation to the seller. Say it was a mistake, maybe that your kid got on and bought it without your knowledge or something. I dunno. Be creative, and make them feel sorry for you.
