most definitely L'auberge -great classic French food . If you chose not to stay there you should still stop by for lunch or dinner.
i think that the advice on Flagstaff is wrong. the map may say its 30 miles,But there is a 3000 ' vertical elevation difference and most of that elevation is picked up in a short[ under 7miles ]stretch of road switch-backing either up or down Oak Creek Canyon. Add to that the fact that the the snowline in northern AZ is around the bottom of Oak Creek canyon where the switchbacks end and Flagstaff ceases to be an attractive alternative.
Stay in the sedona / cottonwood area there good properties to be found.

In case you do not know, just to make you aware, Sedona is pretty cold in Feb, and may even have snow on the ground. Be careful on the drive. I would recommend L'Auberge as it is one of the prettiest of the resorts in sedona

One of the nice things about Sedona is it's no slum. So, from a Best Western to the nicest Diablo Resort, you can't go wrong.
Sedona is VERY picky as to what places do business there - so don't worry about it....or try not to. If you want not to leave much, choose a resort within your price range. If you are looking for a 'headquarters', look for a hotel. Either way, there's nothing seedy.
Have fun!

L'Auberge de Sedona resort...if you can afford it. For anything reasonably priced, you have to go to Flagstaff (not far away).
