Can you burn them to a CD-R? In the options menu would you pick "audio CD" or "data CD"?

I need to know if you need a special kind of CD or if a CD-R will work. Thanks.

Being able to only play it on the computer is fine. What's happening is, I'm picking "data CD" and using a CD-R, but I get a message "unable to burn, make sure the disk is clean, undamaged, etc." I'm getting tired of wasting CD's.

.wmv files would be video files, hence the v on the end. You can't make videos into an audio CD. Data CD would work fine, but that wouldn't play in a CD/DVD player.

If you mean .wma files (that would be audio) then audio CD would work if you want it to be playable in a CD player.
