None wat so ever. Im on Mirena the hormonal IUD however the levels of hormones are so low they stay localized and very little is detected in your blood stream so NO you shouldnt g ain weight from an IUD

with the shot if your looking to gain weight Depo is the one for you it has an OVERLOAD of hormones whihc is why so many women cant tollerate it.

I had an IUD years ago and I did not gain weight but I did have a lot of problems with it. My daughter in law gets the shot and said it is great and easy. Once every three months..............................

Since it does not add any hormones to your body, it does not make you gain or lose weight.

It shouldn't because it does not have hormaones, The way it works is by keeping the lining of your uterus irritated so the egg can't implant
