gift cards- where's a good place i should get a gift card from?

we're having secret santa at work... i chose a girl (she's in her mid- 20s) and the limit is $10. one of her choices was gift card- but she didnt state from where... so i was thinking where would be a good place:
some i have thought of-
1) target
2) bath & body works
3) white candle (since her 2nd choice was candles)
4) godiva
5) starbucks

where else would be interesting?

most places you get gift cards are reputable - good morning america just did a segment today on gift card scamming - basically where people are writing down the gift card # - call into the activation line and see if the card is actviated - if so, they use your gift card # to make the purchase. review the segment and use good judgement when you do this.

I think it is not appropriate to do either. If people ask where you are registed you can tell them but I wouldn't write it on the invitations at all. We actually didn't register at all (we both have so much stuff already) and ended up with 2 gifts and the rest was cash and gift cards. EDIT along with what everyone else has said, my mom was at the return desk at Target and the person in front of her was trying to return a wedding present and because she had no gift receipt they would not return it or give her in store credit. Even though on her registry it showed she received more than she wanted. She was stuck with everything that she didn't want or had too many of.

You can get her a American Express card which she can use anywhere..and if not Target or Walmart is a great on. She can get just about anything in both
