Value has had a few years of strong growth while growth funds have been lagging. Where do you think the better investment will be in 2007?

I have diversified my portfolio with International, small cap and large cap...
For my US investments, do you think value or growth will perform better.

Growth is undervalued... if you are long term, start getting back into growth, especially US large cap growth.

If you have money invested in small cap funds, you already have growth covered. Small cap stocks in general grow faster than large cap stocks. The main problem with growth funds in general is that their management has no immagination. They are always invested in yesterday's growth stocks. The MSFT, INTC, DELL, HD, etc.

If you are looking for a growth portion for your portfolio consider a good China fund CHN or TDF and a good India fund IIF. A large cap U S value fund will had stability to your holdings.

Why not invest in a Total Stock Market Index Funds and get the best of both worlds?

base metals are on a big rallie right now with china and india growing. Just about any mining company out there is gonna do awsome in 07 also pm's will do well, especially silver. It is so undervalued right now.

I would be in foreign funds or commodities, the dollar is going to collapse and it will take everything with it, choose something with limited exposure to U.S. currency or something with real physical value ie. gold/silver

I think a more appropriate question is "Which will be less cold."

I see a recession coming.
