Can anyone tell me how to get a great desktop or background transfered to MySpace after I find some thing cool on the web.
I'm still new at this and they don't make Dummie-Books for it.

You can find a picture you want and right click and pick save picture. And if you just want to put a picture of something or somebody, the you can go to myspace, or google and type in usher or some body and you can make them into your background. And if you still dont get want you want go to (pimpmymyspace.com) thats what i went to to get my background
by the way my myspace is myspace.com/the1diamond.com

The code for adding a single image to your Myspace background is easy.

First: upload your image to myspae or somewhere else and copy the URL.
Next: add one of the following codes to the "About me" entry in your Myspace profile, just filling in the URL with the URL of the background image you want to use:

To use a repeating image for your Myspace background, the code is even simpler:

Next question: A fixed Myspace background or not?

A normal Myspace page will have it's background scroll with the rest of the page. However, you can add some extra code in the CSS style to "fix" it so that it doesn't scroll at all. Here's an example of how to use a fixed Myspace background. Again, just put it in the "About me" section of your profile:

The effect of using a fixed background for your Myspace profile is neat, but sometimes it makes it more difficult to read the rest of the page. It's a little more difficult to find your place on a web page if the background doesn't move with the rest of the text.

If you're using a small repeating background image for your Myspace background, it might not be as noticeable, but with a large image of a rocking sports car, for instance, it might be best to leave the scrolling normal.

If you want a premade layout for your Myspace, there are hundreds to choose from! just go to google and search for "myspace layouts"...you'll get more hits that you'll be able to check.

if you have your own pictures already and you want to add them, a popular way to do that is with a slide show. youc an create them at websites designed to do that like flikr, photobucket, and (my favorite) slide.com!
