how do i find a salvation army shelter in florida? i want to move down there but can't afford a place when i get there so i want to stay at a shelter till i get on my feet. (btw---i am homeless in iowa, frozen solid already, all plants and factories for 75 miles are closing,closed or laying off here. don't tell me to stay here till i get money saved, i tried for 3 years!)

It would help if you mentioned where at in florida..

To the left of the page you will see where it says Locate a Center. This has the whole state of Florida's locations. So I hope this helps you.

go to the salvation army website and check there, as there are way too many to list here. And good luck to you as some shelters are only for overnight, and first come first serve. this isn't place to come and live, I warn you, there are zillions of homeless in Florida and you must have an address for any prospective employers. Even frozen in Iowa, you should probably stay where you are, and if you couldn't save any money in 3 years up there what makes you think you can save money living in Florida, since it is so much more expensive.
