Since your parents are going to be the ones paying you, you should ask them what to do around the house. Have some suggestions and some prices (cost) ready. Tell your mom you will cook dinner one night for $5 (you can cook something easy of course - do you have siblings you can take care of? - give them a bath and dress them for bed, read them a book, all for $5 too)

You could babysit
You could walk dogs
You could rake leaves (or mow grass, or shovel snow)

If you (with your parents permission of course) approach people and tell them WHY you want to do this first, they are more likely to hire you. Just don't charge too much.

There are most likely older people on your block or in your neighborhood they can't always get to the store for simple things that you might be able to carry home walking ,or gift wrapping for them there hands are not as good as they used to be. Just remeber there are a lot of scams going and you need to earn their trust so maybe after you get one person to trust you ask that person if you can use them as a referance or maybe they can tell there friends about you. Good Luck!

Pulling weeds, mowing yards, shoveling snow. Making money is not easy. Ask your neighbors if there is something they need done and tell them that you need money for Christmas.
