please guyz..im in such a desperate situation.....?

Question

ive been searching for info like for two weeks but couldnt find anything....ok...so this is what i need....my topic for a comp tech project is USE OF COMPUTERS IN UNDEVELOPED COUNTRIES...i have to write the reasons for lack of computer usage and to find which countries are computer unceveloped...any ideas????any websites that might help???

I'm not sure how detailed the assignment is asking you to get here, but I would start out by finding out which countries might rank on the list of "least technologically developed" nations. A good resource for that might be found here:

As far as a course of action for your research, I'd recommend selecting some of the countries that you find from the link above and doing some specific research on each of them in turn. See if you can find out about specific technological advances in those countries, and/or reasons those advances have been slowed, and you've basically got the info you need for your paper.

So, for instance, let's say you choose, Uganda, which I believe is actually on that list...I'd do a quick Google search for "Technology in Uganda" or "Computers in Uganda" or something similar, and see what pops up...You should then be able to dig up enough material to speak intelligently on the topic.

You might, in fact, look to see if you can't find some similarities between the countries that you select...for instance, look at their governments, is there a pattern where nations that are controlled by strong dictatorships seem to be less advanced technologically, or is there some other common factor among all of the nations that might be a contributing factor?

You could also spend some time talking about what seems to make the nations that *are* technologically advanced, so advanced...just as a contrast...The US has a great deal of technological advancement, because they have had the capital to invest in to this type of research, whereas nations such as Uganda, do not have these resources...Compare and contrast statements are good for a paper like this :-)

I don't believe there is such a thing as an undeveloped country for one thing,and another, since the advent of the PC if one person in a country uses their own...you see what I mean? Its no wonder you have been having a tough time.

You can find a lot of the raw information in the CIA World Factbook. You might need to research some of the individual countries separately but this could be a good starting point for you. Good luck!
