A good test preparation course is a must that has excellent references. I have also seen test preparation software for the GRE along with books on preparing for the GRE. Studying every day especially on weak spots even just 30 minutes a day can help a lot to have a great test score. If you do not get the score that you hoped for after taking the first test, according to the ETS.org website, they recommend taking it again. I have included some resources on it. Good luck!

Go to Waldenbooks, Books A Million, Barnes & Noble, Brentano's, or anywhere they sell books (large scale) and get a prep book and study with it over xmas or summer break and take the GRE before you go back to school that semester

Buy a GRE prep book and learn everything in it and take a few practice tests. Improve your vocabulary.
