My fiance is a great bowler - but needs a new high performance ball. He throws a hook (he is left handed - not sure if that matters). Any suggestions on a type of ball/brand?

your best bet would be to go o a pro-shop and ask them, they're usually pretty knowledgable.

As an ambidextrous bowler, I've used all brands, but stuck with Brunswick bowling equipment. I use the Total Inferno, PBA Inferno and Radical Inferno. That brand of bowling ball worked perfectly for me for over 25 years!
There are also high performance bowling balls from Columbia 300, Elite, Storm, Hammer, Dynothane and Track, just to name the major manufacturers. Hope this helps!

Rhino is a great one for that type of bowler. Hammer is another great brand.
