I have disliked the current administration from the beggining especially this hippocrit Cheney by having a gay daughter and still opposing gay marriage. You would have to think this guy is a horrible parent and terrible mentor -Yet so many people (namely Christians and bible thumping republicans) still have high regards to these two jokes...WHY?

No. Bush has completely ravaged this countries budget & morale with the way he has dealt with the war and many other topics. And the way the Bush administration responded to Hurricane Katrina (or the lackthereof a prompt response) is disgusting, sad and shameful. It's horrible when a man would rather invade and muder in another country (putting OUR soldiers in jeopardy) and invest millions of $$ to that cause, but leaves one of our own states looking like a war zone. That man is ridiculous, ignorant and evil.

I think they are both doing a good job under extremely difficult circumstances. I think they are both doing what they feel is in the best interest of this country. I think they love this country and are patriotic. I believe they are trustworthy. You may not like there policies and so forth but to imply they may be bad people is really irresponsible. Oh, and I am not a bible thumping Republican, I am just a Republican.

By the way, you can have a gay child, love that child and wish them all the best in life but also be morally against gay marriage. It doenst mean you do not love that child. Sometimes the needs and traditional values of the many out weigh the needs and progressive views of a few.

Apart from Mrs. Bush and Mrs Cheney, yes, there are a lot of us. We understand that some things happen in an administration over which Bush had no control, but obviously you know more than both of them, so I expect you to be running for President next. Wow, we really have a lot to look forward to. As for Cheney opposing gay marriage, yet having a gay daughter, hey wake up and smell the coffee, for years children have done things that parents disagree with. And what is a "hippocrit"? I don't know how you expect to run the nation, if you don't even know how to take advantage of Yahoo's spell check.

No I don't like the current administration, never have. BUT, and this is a huge but, Cheney has NEVER once publicly said he backed any plan to amend the Constitution banning same sex marriages. He has only ever said, and I strangely understand this, that he backs the President.
Now, you may ask why, but if one stops and thinks about this the answer is obvious. He's the Vice President, it's his job..no...his DUTY to back the President. It's the duty of the Office of Vice President to publicly support and back the Office of the President.
Granted, I personally don't agree with his public backing, but I do understand the Office of the VP doing so.
Cheney's in a tight situation, he has publicly said he personally would back a plan to make Civil Unions legal, but since the Office of the President does not back such a plan therefore the Office of the Vice President cannot go against it.

Does this make it a bit clearer?

the entire administration is a complete disgrace for endless reasons. the economy. the war. slow/poor responses to disasters in this country. trying to mix church and state by imposing their religious beliefs upon the laws of this country. it's sad and shameful. and I think the elections in November proved that the country has had enough and is fed up.

The heck with Cheney. But Bush? For what he has done to this countries economy by allowing jobs to be off-shored and giving companies tax incentives to do so, he should be shot as a traitor.

Both are a disgrace in my opinion. One is always a moment's notice away from death and can't tell a human from a deer. The other one's head is too empty to rub two brain cells together. What's worse is that America has become one of the most hated countries because of these two nimrods and their dumbass choices.
