Ok I have been trying to figure out this one for years. The movie is called Born Yesterday starring Melanie Griffith, Jogn Goodman, and Don Johnson. The song I want to find out who sings it happens when Melanie G. and Don J. are at a small bar, and they dance to this slow song.. the song talks something about "..and then the teacher passes by" It sounds like Etta James singing it, but I don't know the name of the song!!

The song is called "Teach Me Tonight" and was originally performed by Frank Sinatra.
In the movie it was performed by Stevie Wonder and Dinah Washington (who does sound something like Etta James).

Hope this helps!!

You stumped me!

(and that ain't easy)

Chances are thought that since both Mel and Don both had failed singing careers... maybe one of them sang it?

I have never seen the movie so...

But in reading the answers above... That song is excellent and I agree with the first girl... I LOVE Dinah Washington! That is an excellent song if it is what you are referring to?

It is NOT Alien Ant Farm...titled "For The Movies"...it's sung through Buckcherry (the equal institution that sings "Crazy *****" - from their previous days, certainly; discovered on their self-titled album, published in 1999.
