Nothing has been created in billions of years .Things are made all the time out of things that where created .
To create you must start with nothing . re-arranging things is not creation . Discovering things and making use of those discovery's has given man a sense of control and enlightenment . That he alone is unique in the world and therefore in control of it and all things on it .
As we take over this planet we fail to note one important factor .Is our reproduction and the spread of our species good for the planet or not ?
If you are a tiger or spider or any number of so called pests and killers I would imagine not . However if you are food we will make an effort to keep you numbers at high enough levels to provide us with food .
Cows , millions of cows. Chickens ,again millions and millions of them .
Bear , not so many .
Mountain lion .again not so many .
Fox ,wolf , wild boar , and bugs that annoy us eliminated . What happened to the buffalo ? Until we can create something I feel destroying it is a crime of such magnitude that those who do so should be caged and prevented from doing so ever again . Glad I am not a cow or chicken pig or salmon .
The best man can do is learn from his mistakes and come to the conclusion that he is a plague on this planet and should be destroyed .

Although they are almost synonymous, 'something being made' is more ambiguous than 'something being created' since the verb 'to make' has more applications and meanings than 'to create.'
Ultimately, 'something being made' is a broader concept than 'something being created'. That which is created concerns things brought into existence, what is given rise to, that which is brought into office, and that which is brought about through artistic/ imaginative faculties.
That which is made includes the aforementioned categories as well as more which can be found at answers.com.

I guess when something is made, it is based on something else. For example following a blue print or a diagram.
When something is created on the other hand, would be totally original. Not based on anything else.
