I would like a modest home with awesome furnishings. I don't need the "new best thing" I just want a nicely decorated house. As for my furniture...these are things I want to hand down in my family and so it would be important to me that they last and look good. Also I really like the features of the new furnishings as they are becoming more friendly for modern use.

I suppose if it was a quality product from goodwill etc. I would use it though...I have found some nice treasures there over the years.

A very modest home with no furnishings. Just a bed and the most awesome home theater system known to man.

Without a doubt, a modest home with awesome furnishings. I'd be spending the most time in it and, while it may not look as good from the outside, I'd rather have that than a spring poking in my butt from a cheap couch.

I have a very modest and beauitful home but everyone always walkes and ask..Where did you find this piece?
My house is full of reclaimed furniture and findings. I love yard sales, auctions, second hand items.
Second hand items doesn't mean trash if its done right. All the furniture in my house was all old dark and ugly. Everything has been sanded down, cleaned, new fixtures or handles added and everything repainted white. Its all very classy and everything looks like it walked off the showroom floor.

You can have both and not spend alot of money.

Your only limit is your imagination
