i went in for my appointment at 10 weeks and was told it was too early yet, but i did see it on ultrasound at 10 weeks. He told me at my next OB appointment we would be able to hear it :) and i will be about 13-14 weeks then!!! GOODLUCK!

Dr's can hear it through a special microphone at 12 weeks. I was just at my 12 week appointment today and I asked my doctor if 10 -12 weeks was right, like I had read. He said 10 weeks is a little early, but usually right around 12.
