Filipinos are from the Philippines.
Indonesians are from Indonesia.
Both the Philippines and Indonesia are countries from the continent of Asia.

The only difference is that both countries do not practice the same religions and that the Filipinos have mostly lost their cultures during the Spanish times.

Why are they alike even though the two nations are very much not the same today? Many of the Filipinos speak Tagalog, which does have some Spanish in it, however, none the less it is still part of the Malay stock language family and the Indonesians speak Malay and plus they share the same ancestral bloodlines with Indonesians and even Malaysians, not Chinese or Japanese, Malay.

Yes, they would both be of Asian origin. However, an Indonesian would be from Indonesia and a Filipino would be from the Philippines.
You know that both a Japanese person and a Chinese person would be Asian, but you know that they're not the same nationality. Same here.

They are both Asian, Filipino lives in the Philippines and Indonesian lives in Indonesia.

and indonesian comes from the indonesia country...

Ummm yeah.... Japanese and Chinese people are both Asian too, but that doesn't make them the same. The difference is being from Indonesia or the Phillipines.

you dont sound stupid. indonesians and filipinos are physically indistinguishable. but religion is really colliding: islam (indonesia) and catholicism (philippines).

yes they are both asian, but different in characteristic.

Indonesian speaks malay, filipino speaks tagalog.
major religion, islam in indonesia, catholic in filipino
most filipino is mixed between portuguese and spanish, with the native.
most indonesian are native, with dominating tribe is javanese
