I know nothing about el paso, but I live near ATL (1hour) and have to go there alot for work. Atlanta can be your heaven or your hell. I know alot of people who love it there, but I'm not one of them. It just depends on what you like. If you like the big city, and always haveing something going on, then it's a dream come true. No it's no New York, but it's as close as you'll get in the south. If you like me and you prefer a country road to an interstate, and have no need for theatre and museums, it is a nightmare. The traffic is horrible, and people are rude. Atlanta is no longer representative of the south, it's full of rude yankees (no offence to the few southerners still there). However you can live just outside atlanta and get the best of both worlds. There are many cities/suburbs surrounding ATL that can offer you the benifits of having a family in a nice town and still being close to the city aminities. Best of luck on the new job!

Every one lately is excited about atlanta so i guess thing or going well there but I would advise you pay a visit to these cities and browse around and ask a few questions and see what you can come up with especilly with living accomodations that would be a wise thing to do.
