I have to agree with Mick7 and Ozgard.

If they can get some decent pitching and stay healthy.

Those 3 pitchers you guys "stole" from The Tigers, when ready, will do much for you pitching staff.

Also, you guys need to play as a team. No offense, but it just seems that most of your players are more concerned with personal stats, then team ones.

Derek Jeter is clutch! Other players should take a page form his playbook.

I'm only giving you a serious answer because you are one of those yankee fans that are also baseball fans (you know what I mean).

And The Tigers weren't that bad a team. They did win 95 games during the regular season. I agree with Mick7, it's a disgrace to MLB when a team that only won 83 games during the regular season wins the world series.

But I guess that's life. I really dont see how MLB can change that.

St Louis simply ran into a hot streak, and got lucky.

If the yankees sign Zito, it should be an interesting year.

The problem any team in the majors face is a really bad playoff system. The regular season has been devalued so much that if you're fortunate enough to make the playoffs, it becomes nothing more than a crap shoot. The Yankees were still the best team in baseball last year whether they won the playoffs or not. Last year was a great example of how a very mediocre team got hot at the right time and can now declare themselves won champions. A team that went 83-78 during the regular season. That is a tragedy for the game of baseball.

The Yankees are doing and have done in the past everything they can to get to the playoffs. That is the main goal of every team each year. What happens after that is the luck of the draw. Like any team, in order to win it all, they have to be healthy and their pitching rotation needs to be in tack at the time of the playoffs. If that happens they will win. After all, they are still the best team in baseball.

they could. he's an ok third baseman with a super arm yet his accuracy and selection isnt too good. If he performs like ;ast season and the make it too the playoffs i will c them triumphing # 27 w/ A-Rod. pass Yankees!!!!! been a Yankees fan because of the fact that start, not a bandwagon fan!

Good Pitching gets you to the World Series. They are on their way after signing Andy Pettite. That gives them another left handed pitcher that knows the pressure of NY and has pitched well with it. A staff of Mussina, Wang, Pettite, Johnson, Igawa, Pavano is nothing to take lightly.
2007 is our year.
