It depends on the money order. If it is a postal money order, you can cash it at a post office. If it is from a particular bank, you should be able to cash it at any branch of that same bank. There are also a number of "check cashing" businesses in most citties. There will probably be a fee for cashing the money orders there.

If it is a postal money order, a bank or post office should cash them for you, as long as you provide identification.
Some banks may require that you have an account, but you should be able to go to your own bank. They will usually cash other bank's money orders, but may levee a fee for the service.

Max Bank lets you deposit them but they hold them a week before you can get your money, Walmart cashes them for 3 dollars, and Winn-Dixie where I bought them from wouldnt take them back they say ALL SALES ARE FINAL stamped on their receipt and they dont cash them either.

most banks will not cash money order unless you have an account. perhaps some check cashing place will but they charge you a premium.

Money orders can be cashed in where they were purchased or the company where they were written from. You also need the stub/carbon copy in order to have less of a hassel when cashing them.
