My best friend lives in about the 1830s. Seriously. They dress up as frontier people and go out in the woods and live in tents for whole weekends at a time! Cook over an open fire, all of it. Except, of course, the drive the truck to get there!

They kinda live like that at home, too! Their bathroom hasn't worked since I've known them (over 10 years)!

Yeah there's a show on PBS called Frontier House where families go on a six month 'blast from the past' where they live as the pioneers did. It's pretty interesting :)

I dont know anyone personally that still lives in the past... i think that sometimes they live like that because thats how they were raised...and i know technology is so much better these days but they prob enjoy all the good stuff that were brought to them in those days...thats prob why they cant get over that era and move into this generation...

I don't live in the past, but I do love to talk about it. Like when I was a teenager etc. I drive my friends crazy. No working toilet that is just wrong on so many levels. Ewwwwwwww

Apparently I live in the past. I still use correct grammar and spelling, I think for myself and I don't like any committee, elected or otherwise, interfering with my every day life.

Also, I don't have a computer. I'm posting this answer via carrier pigeon.

not personally... anymore... in hs my best friends mom and dad did civil war reenactments at one of the old forts in the town we lived in...

btw... that's crazy... kinda cool though... i would do it for one weekend, just to see what it was like, for the experience, but i couldn't go without a bathroom in my house for that long of a time...
