Such a tragedy.. the pain in gaza has been going on way too long.

btw.. i don't think people understand that in gaza there is only chaos because of the constant incursions of the IDF.. I can't believe how close-minded people are.

Three sons of a Fatah officer and a bodyguard were killed in a drive-by shooting in Gaza City’s Rimal district Monday, December 11, 2006, 9:28 PM (GMT+02:00).

Sixty bullets were fired at the sons of Palestinian General Intelligence officer Baha Baalusha, a Fatah loyalist. The boys aged 6 to 9 were shot dead outside their school. Baalusha was injured in previous murderous attack.

Probably not. Americans recognize that the law is better able to identify and capture evildoers than the general populace. We'd just talk about it until the perp was caught. Just like the DC Sniper. We just don't do that sort of primitive violence here.

In the Old West, people behaved because if they didn't, they were likely to be shot in the back by their prospective victims, or by their families. And THEY were proactive about it. THREATEN a man, and you could be killed, with no repercussion to the person 'protecting' himself. If you want to live by the rules of the Old West, there's the good ol' feud. Start blowing up mosques to get rid of the perps all at once. Of course, they'll start blowing up temples... which is why we leave it to the law these days.

No. Because the US is a civilized country, with an operating government and a generally law-abiding citizenry.

We would recognize this for the horror that it is, and would hunt down the killers and prosecute them. The group they were with would be ostracized by all decent folk.

But when the murder is done by the agents of the party elected to government, a party whose platform includes the murder of Jews, was anybody really expecting more civilized behavior in Palestine?

It depends on what group was targeted. The Amish are pacifists. There are certainly comunities where such an event could trigger riots. Many shootings by police have done just that.

It wouldn't be called vengance. It would be up to law enforcement to catch those responsible. And officials heads would roll if nothing happened.

Of course I have no idea what would really happen if it were Republicans and Democrats that were pulling stunts like this. Probably there would be chaos.

This kind of thing does happen in the US (random gang violence). Sometimes people try to take revenge on the guilty parties, but most of the time they do not.

No, because only peaceful Muslims believe in revenge killings.

We are more civilized, and let the police handle matters like that.

If Fatah and Hamas want to kill each other, that's fine with me. Less terrorists for the rest of us.

Depends on who was killed and by whom.
