I mean I have this little tiny little spider in my hall that keeps coming back even after I shoo him away. One day .just maybe....

Yes it does. The less you see of a person the better. When people starts living at your house, every minute of the day, popping in and out it starts irritating me. I appreciate them more if i see them once or twice a week. I like being alone. I love it when my hubby goes away for a weekend Hang-gliding, i do my own thing and just chill. [PS i don't mess around] Flapping my white wings .

In the case of the spider, yes. Probably in everyone's case, actually...
Shouldn't this expression apply to things that are desirable but so familiar we forget to apreciate them?

the spider won't hurt you, he is helping you by trapping and eating other bugs that would bite you or get in your food. Respect the little spider, he's actually working for you with no pay or appreciation.

Sometimes, but not always. Sometimes the better you know someone the more you like them. Other times people just bore you the more you know them...
