My husband's libido is very low and he hardly gets any errection. He is not a smoker or heavy drinker. Sometime he had work related tension. How to make him more active in sex and bring back his libido. Is there any food I can think of. He is 42 years old.

This is a complicated question and no two problems are the same.
Some things that may affect his libido are:

being overweight
stress
poor diet (high fat/salt/cholesterol diet without fresh fruit and veggies)
lack of excersise

If these are not a factor and you have been married for a while he may be bored, no longer interested in sex with you...I am not suggesting that is your fault either, it just may be the case, or it could be as extreme as him being attracted to another person, male or female.

Try asking him what really turns him on and telling him what really turns you on,.see if you can get his mental penis growing then the little one will follow.

Do things he does not expect, read how to books and experiment with him. If all else fails ask him to watch porn with you...

Sex is not all there is to a relationship but it is important and after the initial phase of lust wears off in a relationship the fire needs tending so get a load of firewood and stoke the fire!!!!!!

Also, don't forget it is about fun....not "serious sex".

Undoubtedly, 42 years aren't a lot to justify a so great loss of libido then. Therefore, I think stress or not your husband can't remain so - near a woman still sexually active and craving. Leave foods aside because they just are unhelpful!
If you both like to resort to do-it-yourself, it's a time for a long rest for fighting the stress. In the meanwhile, try with testosterone pills, and with some drug increasing lust (vit. E, yohimbe, maca ginseng, guaranà, ginger, etc.). Or see a doctor for some exam.

I am 51 and had the same problem. I started taking 1000mg vit-e, 1200mg omega-3 fish oil and 1000mg garlic. That was 3 months ago and I have no problems at all in that department, if you know what I mean. It also could be stress related, but I would be willing to bet if he will start this regiment that it will help his problem, but once he starts it he must stay with it or he is wasting his time and money. Good luck.

go to the doctor - he may have some other issues - diabetes etc which can cause this - but the married men do tend to lose their libido - unfortunately it is a fact that their libido increases again naturally after divorce! - so do what yo can to avoid that!

There could be any number of reasons, diet, blood pressure, attitude, stress, etc. Simple manual stimulation with a body rub works for almost anyone.
This is not as big a deal as some would have you believe.

Maybe something else is going on. Does he drink alcohol? Does he take medications that might have this effect? Maybe the stress is more than you think at work.

No food is going to help that. He needs to talk to a urologist because he may have prostrate problems.

I live with the same problem. I'm about same age as him. My trouble started in late teens.

Nothing I say, nothing I touch, nothing I see, no one of either gender can arouse me to hard. And I can barely ever make my prick hard to Jerk/Off with. It stays limp!!!!! Even for me !!!!!

Iam not diabetic or ill organically with any disease. Hormones levels are within normal limits. viagra and hormone pills did no good.

You see, this is normal part of aging for men. it's not your fault. It's not his fault. God designed men this way.

Libido and virility start at puberty and decline at mid-life andropause, change of life for men.

and doctors have no MAGIC WANDS TO cure this problem. None.

and i dont drink , smoke ,or take Rx drugs. Just like him. I live with this daily. so when the party is over - IT'S OVER!!!!!!!!

Get him into a gym,as well as fast walking 3times a wk,for at least 30min a session.include in his diet salads and vegetables and soy products.drink a lot of water, but more importantly encourage and coax him along the way,or do it along with him.
