I have a hard time having never been to Cyprus thinking of something different that she does not have at home and will not cost a small fortune to mail and it has to be Air mailed by weight.

Probably some kind of gift card. Find out what stores in your country will mail to Cyprus. Maybe a book store or a music store.

Anything American or one thing that I have done is to buy off eBay and have it shipped directly to the person. You know the cost upfront before you even purchase the item. If she has Internet, the gift certificate idea is good.

you could send this pen pal a picture of you and maybe family pictures. you can also send her a girt card from a department store in the U.S with is also in Cyprus
