the people who actually follow the law seem to be in a worse position

Hello law abiding one.

I have always thought about crime, because it is true. It seems that the law breakers always get the free music, get the most money, and live the best way. I don't like it, and I don't think anyone else does either, but the problem is that people get away with breaking the law, and then get the benefits from it. It is a terrible world, and we have to learn to live it, whether in crime, or living without a lawbreaking.

Absolutely not. My daughter was robbed whilst out on Saturday. Sadder still was the fact that it was her sixteenth birthday on the Thursday and they stole her new phone and b/day money. What have the police done....absolutely nothing. They don't seem to care that these lads(scum) left 2 teenage girls stranded with no phone and no money to get home. What makes the situation worse is that my daughter knew all the people involved and yet the police can do nothing based on the fact they don't know which one stole her bag.Yet if this was murder all involved would be guilty by association. And as for your other question, I definitely have been thinking of committing a crime....Much too gruesome to go into detail on here but it does involve a certain amount of torture to those involved in robbing my child!

I can understand where you are coming from as I have seen it day in day out in my previous role (as a Police Community Officer). However when you finally see that person taken down (if an adult), it's the kids then who suffer from their loss of parent and it often turns out they follow in the same shoes as that's all they are used to.
Someones got to break the cycle.

On the other hand, kids know these days that they can get away with it and play it for everything they can. Stricter punishment has got to make a difference.

Remember, it's not the Police that make the law, it's the Government. Police have to just do as they are told unfortunately.

I think i am basically a law abiding citizen I work hard, I dont claim anything I shouldn't I dont lie, dont litter the streets etc etc.
But there is one thing, I refuse to pay full price for dvd's and cd's what an absolute rip off.
My son wanted a dvd I went to the shop and it was £17! for a dvd,
no chance!
the government is winging about people ileagily downloading music and films, we wouldnt have to if they didnt charge so much for them especially as they only get watched a couple of times,
Its discracefull and if I can get them cheaper by what ever means I do!

Yes we all get tempted but The Lord Jesus and The Father sees all. There are always Eternal consequences for every act we commit. Two of these are guilt/remorse which lodge within you and never allow you peace until amends have been made. That is why there is a saying-The sins of the fathers are visited upon their children. There is only one power which can help a person resist temptation and that is our Creator. If you ask Him for His care and protection He will give it because He wants a relationship with us all.
Take care and I hope you have a very happy Christmas.

I have been thinking about it. The only time I have needed to claim anything and I get treated like a criminal. You shop people in who abuse the system and nothing gets done. Criminals can now claim working tax credits whilst doing time yet i have trouble getting any benefit I am entitled too. Nothing will get done though until we toughen up as a country and fight back against the politicians.

Only when I see some of the questions on here.

But I take your point, it does seem that its not worth the effort saying on the right side of the law

Of course it is. Self respect is priceless. How exactly do you see criminals benefitting? We all benefit when we live in a law abiding society.
