no we just make it funny and just throw them up there any kind of way you should see it you'll laugh..because they be all diff. sizes and to make it More funny we get all colors and them old big lights and put them on the house.But Basically we do it for the kids.

No not really. I have about 18 houses in my neighborhood and only 6 of them have decorated this year. We do have a car competition in our neighborhood though, between two families. THey think they have to have the nicer car and truck, and they act ridiculous about it. This guy buys a new car for his wife and a new truck for himself every 6 to 8 months. And they have to be the biggest and best. lol

nope-our idea of making an effort is when we stick a tree in the corner lol...my next door neighbour gets really in to it though-it makes our house look really crappy. she has decorations for every occasion-christmas, halloween, st patrick's day, valentine's day...and the whole house and garden will be lit up. for christmas she'll has a huge tree for all to see at the main window and then an inflatable santa on the chimney, snowmen in the garden and lights on the wall...its not unusual for passing cars to slow down and gape in shock! even tourists start taking photos, I'm not kidding! :D

yeah, the house next to us always busy decorating their house even if its already fixed..coz every year we have this unique christmas lights on our terrace and the lights are really dancing with the super big star at the center ...then suddenly the family lives next to us starting to act like if its a competition, coz when we start to turn on our lights they'll do the same too...and sometimes when we forgot to turn it on like it was late we found out that they also didnt turn on their lights..I just think their were some kind on envy..
but we just take it that way, we just laugh at them..
and of course Its Christmas..."be kind"..hahaha

It's not a competition, but a lot of folks decorate, and the street looks really nice! (We live in Chicago!)

We are surrounded by elderly people, so there aren't a lot of decorations on our street. We do some decorating, but don't go all out since we are gone for the Holidays.....................

No. WE all pretty much don't like the over-doers. A few lights are fine, but a yard filled with unsightly lawn-flair is just obnoxious.
