I have sketchy details about the movie. But, I remember a group of thieves/spies (or something else) who were trying to retrieve something from (or escape from) a house. This house was rigged with many traps. And, people in this group were killed off one at a time. I don't remember what they were after. I just remember the film being shown on HBO in the early 80s. Any ideas?

I remember that, but I don't know the name, but I do remember some additional details. Something was wrong with the environment, and it was always raining, the kids had to be exposed to artificial sunlight to be able to live. On girl at the school claimed to have been somewhere when the sun broke through the clouds and had seen the sun. For some reason, it is predicted that the sun will brake through momentarily on a certain day, but none of the kids believe it except for the girl who had seen the sun before. Somehow she gets locked in a room and doesn't make it out when the sun does shine and she misses it. It was a pretty sad movie.

However it was one man and his unscrupulous girlfriend trying to steal treasure from her employer. 7 rooms each with a puzzling trap to escape. Known more for how bad an actor Lazar Rockwood was than anything else.
