Check out the third link for more information on salaries statewide. Included in your search should be benefits, and health insurance.

New York City. Hands down. But the cost of living there is high too. I think the better question is where pays the most for Acountants with the lowest cost of living. Without a lot of research I think the answer to that would be Arizona.

Try california or new york I have known accountants in those states are doing very well salary wise in that field.
