My friend recently went to Vietnam. Knowing that I am prior military, he bought me a zippo lighter that was used during the Vietnam War/Conflict by an American.

I would like to return this zippo to the family of the soldier who it belong to. However, all of the information has been covered by a Vietnamese Symbol that was glued to the zippo.

I would like to know how I can remove the symbol from the zippo without ruining the zippo itself.

Can anybody help me with removing a metal symbol from a metal zippo? It appears to have been glued on.

Thanks!

odds are it isnt even really a zippo, one of those things the poor rice farmers made so they don't have to hustle their wive for a night and American tourists are stupid enough to purchase them, same with dog tags, for instence there are hundreds of thousands of dog tags but only a hand ful of KIA, MIA, and POW, i would have to see it.
