Biologically speaking, it's better for men to spread their sperm to as many receptive females as possible whereas women need to choose a stable mate to raise her child.
So, I think men may be programed to be driven to take advantage of every opportunity possible (i.e. be in a state willingness) and having the thought of sex pop up every three seconds helps with that.
However, we're a long way from cave men days and it's not fair to generalize about all men.

My goodness, you do need to take a look around, all around the world, to see what men have accomplished. Have you ever listened to classical music? How did the men find the time to write that wonderful music if "they only thought about sex?"
Yes, we all Leonardo DaVinci (now), how did he ever do the things he did, if his thoughts were only occupied with sex?
Finally, during the Second World War, the Nazis occupied Europe and tried to enslave the Eastern European nations and exterminate the Jews, and the Japanese tried to enslave Asia.
Now how were those countries liberated if the American, Australian, British, Canadian, Chinese, French, Indian, New Zealand, Russian, and South African men were to busy thinking about sex to stand up and fight?

Mostly true. It's not the only thing we think of, but we always think about it. Even when doing other complex things, we are thinking about past experiences or anticipating the future. There's always at least 10 percent of our cognitive ability dedicated to it. Kind of like a program running in the background. We don't need a reason, just a place.

No. Dumb stereotype. As to why: Testosterone controls sex drive in both men and women. Biologically men have atleast 20 times more than women and that number can even be higher in an active male.
Pure biology.

You can't generalize anything and have it be 100% true. Yes, some men think about sex alot, some don't the same for women. Every person is different.

Aw come on..
We know we are bad but we are not THAT bad.
Does "Once every minute" count as all the time? Certainly not!
Even if we think about sex all the time, it is not our fault (I personally do not think it is a fault really!), but it is just the way we are wired up in the brain when we are made.
Any one not thinking about sex many times a day? Now them ones seriously need help.

yes. i constantly think about sex. even during tragic events in my life. i think about it at work and home or even going out to eat somewhere. sex is all about reproduction. if you put all the perversion aside and think about sex as a natural thing, it is boring. but as humans we know sex is necasary to keep the population going so we are constsntly thinking about it. if you eliminate modern technology, modern housing, modern market places, what is left? reproduction. women can trade sex for whatever she needs in life. men will give everything they have just to have sex. women know this and that is why we get to have sex. in all virtue, women have always prostituted themselves to get wahat they need and men have always been willing to pay. that is exactly how every family is built. more than likely your birth was not a planned event. your parents might tell you that you were planned, but you probably werent. sex rules the planet. without it we are nothing.
