I joined a community called "Freecycle" recently~where you post "wanted" or "offered" items that you need or need to get rid of. It's free, and you don't charge anyone for the items you get rid of.
Here is where my bitterness comes in:
Lately I've noticed a lot of "wanted"s. And some of them are big-ticket items! Like: trailers for hauling furniture, treadmill or other exercise equipment, log splitter, bunk beds... I guess I figure if someone has these items and wants to get rid of them, then they'll post that. As for the person wanting the treadmill, I almost replied that there is miles and miles of free sidewalk in our town, or you can walk at the mall, hospital, or sports arena for free (that's what I do!), and my husband is our logsplitter! . . .
So, am I just being bitter?

No...you are frustrated with the venality and boorishness of people.

Well, there may be a reason this person wants a treadmill rather than to walk outside. I myself live in a beautiful place with plenty of walking trails. But my doctor told me to walk on the treadmill where I can accurately determine distance, speed and incline. He told me to make sure I don NOT just go out walking regularly because even small inclines at the wrong time can screw my knee up. Just think, it takes up too much energy to be bitter. This person may very well have another reason for wanting the treadmill. I think it's great that you can walk wherever and whenever you want, but not everybody has that option. If you're on that site, just do what you went on it for - give and receive - don't let feelings get in the way.

well i dont think u thinking of all the reasons a person might rather want a treadmill instead of walking out side or where ever id like a treadmill for one its so much easier and i can wear what i really want to wear to be comfterable and i can put my walkmen on and sing out loud!! hey thats what i like to do when im exceriseing and its just the comftert of ur own home, my mom has a treadmill cause she has as fear of stray dogs woundering around in the block and has a bad hip so she walks alittle and sits right down when she needs to and goes at it again and shes lost alot of weight with that treadmill so im just saying theres all kinds of reason why people would rather have that then going out to walk

Perhaps you should take other things into consideration other than your own personal opinion and thought, such as.. perhaps the person looking for the treadmill can't go out into the cold, or is a young mom and can't leave her child and doesn't want to walk with the baby, perhaps the person is elderly and can't go outside, maybe they have a phobia of going outside. It's very easy to judge others... but it's kinder to not judge and if you have something that you want to 'give away' and it helps someone else out... you both win. Enjoy your day.

All she has to do is replace her ideas. now unlikely. human beings LOVE their misery in order to make persons incorrect, and responsible, somewhat than take responsibility for having a existence properly worth residing.

I don't think you sound bitter - maybe just a bit frustrated. Hang in there and keep smiling - don't let these things get you down! :)
