Ok I asked on here a few times in different ways about this awkward situation between me and my 70 year old instructor.

Well the people on here and on another site says to you know go to the head, or talk to your advisor asap

My two friends, one that never went to school here but much older than me and the other that did go to schooll said don't worry about it. The other one that did go to school there says noone has complained about him except that he's the only instructor that doesn't really open up to students about his non working life. Both friends think that this guy is too smart to risk all he has for a steamy affair or whatever on me? He's also a mayor of a town, a great instructor, and got kids and grandkids.

So should I go with what my friends say?

If you're worried that people won't believe you about this instructor because of his prominent social standing, and you think you will be made out to be a liar, then you should probably just keep your distance from him as best as you can. Maybe if there is another section of the class he teaches, you can switch to a different class, or just ride out the semester and come up with ways to avoid him other than in class, as a student. If he continues to persist, you may have no choice but to tell an authority. It will probably be a huge scandal in your town, but he can't get away with harrassing you just because he has ppower. That's not the way this country is supposed to work.
