im american and i dont think too much of my country, personally, i think its retarded, from the history books ive read, ALL the wars were started by us, and especially these wars on communism, thats persecution of peoples rights, and thats what i thought america was about... standing up for people's rights, retarded!!!

I wonder if people hide their nervousness about current events by repeating the whole "we're better than everyone" thing. That's more likely what's going on---covering up fear with a facade of pride.
Also, it is true that most don't go outside the US.This nation is so large that you almost have no need to do so, and you can still find pretty much anything you need. That may be why there's so little travel outside the country. But those who desire to do so most definitely do.

I am sorry that you feel that way about Americans-I am an American and I don't think I am better than anyone else, everyone is equal to me. It must be the ones that you have come in contact with at some point in your life that has given you that opinion.
