The horses name if I remember correctly in the song started with an S. Any ideas what this song could be or who sung it? It's not "horse with no name" though.

I just don't think the Eagles did the song that you are thinking of...I'm agree with Lynda R. The only sad song about a horse that I can think of is Wildfire.
