Or getting too many violations and not answering any questions. I suppose we all think the same way by making sure you're well over a level before asking a questions.

Well, according to the chart, you lose 5 points for every question asked. If you vote for a best answer, then you get 3 back for a net loss of 2. If you ask a question and no best answer is chosen, then you get all the points back. Theoretically, if you only ask questions, never vote or any other point earning activities and a best answer for all your questions is chosen by others, then yes, you'd lose about 5 points for every question. I say "about" because you still earn 1 point a day just by logging in.

you are on level five so I guess you have a way to go before that happens in your case. I wonder what happens to someone who keeps asking questions after losing every single point earned.

Points equal what level you are on.

Just because you earn a certain amount and reach a level does not mean when you spend them you retain that level.

Everytime you ask a question it takes points away from you so I guess it's possible you could drop from your present category.
