no but if you find the file that the music is located on media player from iTunes, then Itunes will gladly transform them into playable music and save in your library. Cds on the other hand you might need to have the actual cd since some required license to be ripped

If you have an iPod you have to convert all songs to AAC format before you can load them on your iPod. iTunes can do that for you, but not all Windows Media Player files can be converted. Many Windows Media Files that you can download for free off sites like Napster have a digital protective signature that "blocks" anyone from converting the file. There is no known way to defeat this digital protective signature. If you pay the 99 cents you can get a Windows Media File without the digital protective signature that can easily be converted to AAC format and then downloaded onto your iPod.

Your music files from windows media player will have to be converted into a different format, and then you can transfer them onto your Ipod

You would need to back up your Music from Media Player-then import it into iTunes!
That's the only way forward!
