Try to eat something like crackers and some water first thing. It is even better if you can eat them before getting out of bed. Saltines and 7 up helped a little for me. I got to the point where I just got up and went straight for the bathroom, then ate after I threw up. Watermelon was something that calmed my stomach. I know this is a hard time, it will most likely ease up soon. Hang in there!
Some say that ginger helps a lot. Ginger Ale or Ginger flavored hard candy. Bananas can help sometimes. If you are craving something, try it. Sometimes we crave certain things because our body needs it.
Good luck!

I was sick throughout my whole pregnancy. In the morning get out of bed slowly, have some crackers and water right by the bed and just sit up for a minute, munch a few crackers, take a few sips of water and then stand up and wait for the adjustment. It won't take away all the nausea but it should help. Oh, and invest in a lot of TUMS those help quite a bit. I bought the smoothie flavored ones or tropical fruit.

one of the first things my ob told me when i got morning sickness was stay away from water. For some reason it does not sit well on an upset stomach. Try ginger ale instead. As for the crackers and bread, didn't help one bit. I was so tired of people telling me to eat them to abate my nausea! But, you are different from me, so you can try it. Just get up slowly in the morning, let the nausea subside, and try to eat something, maybe dry toast would work for you. If all else fails, you just have to let it ride...you have a long way of nausea and other "wonderful" preg symptoms ahead of you! Congrats on your pregnancy!

Saltine crackers and my Dr. told me to eat them during the night as well to help absorb the acids. What about tums? They help with the upset stomach, they have calcium. Ask your Dr. if they are OK. Unfortunately, morning sickness is a terrible part of pregnancy for some of us but it will go by faster then you think. Good Luck. I'm sure you'll have more questions for us in the future!!

Get fresh air. Drink Pregnancy Tea. Dissolve a peppermint candy in water and drink it. Honey and cinnamon on toast. Vitamin B6, 25mg, every 8 hours. And like everyone else said crackers, get out of bed slowly, and eat small meals about every 2 hours.

I'm with lildarlin. Nothing worked for me, either, and I was sick the whole time, all of it. I managed to make it through work by getting frequent breaks to go outside and sniff some fresh air, and by keeping a bag of cinnamon sticks and a lavender sachet at my desk, because the smell of them calmed my stomach for some reason. Good luck -- it's a long haul, but it's all worth it in the end!

i had morgning sickness real bad with both of my girls and nothing helped me. Now I am 5 weeks pregnant and only had one or two bad cases of it. I have found that if I eat something when I am hungry, I will be ok. If I start to get hungry, and dont eat, I will get sick.

Everyone's pregnancy is different. I ate alot of saltines with my first one, ginger ale helped with the second. You can try ginger pills. I've heard they work really well. Plus if you eat small meals often that helps too--so you don't get nausea from not eating enough or too much.

everyone says bread and crackers and ginger ale but honestly none of those worked for me. i called my doctor because i too had to be at work early so he prescribed me a pill that helped me cope with my morning sickness. i took it at night and the next day i didn't throw up at all. so i'd call my doc because sometimes home remedies don't work.

Well my doc said Maalox was safe to have during pregnancy..and I usually kept a stash of preggie pops or preggie drops on me at all times..I found that sucking on something kept the nausea at a low!! Try mint gum sugar less to chew on during the day & flat coke..GOOD LUCK & CONGRATS
